The Magellan RoadMate 2000 packs a whole lot of features in a small design. The Magellan RoadMate 2000 features a generous 3.5” color touch screen that is viewable in any lighting condition. The Magellan RoadMate 2000 is even smart enough to change to night view automatically, based on the time of day for easy night viewing. Magellan has gone with the ultra sensitive SiRF STAR III GPS sensor that features 20-channels and WAAS technology for fast acquisitions and exceptional accuracy. The internal rechargeable battery will allow you to use the the Magellan RoadMate 2000 for up to 3 hours of use away from a power source.

Inside the Magellan RoadMate 2000 is enough memory to store the entire, highly detailed Navteq map database for the 48 contiguous states. Magellan also found some room to pack 1.5 million points of interest, in categories such as airports, restaurants, hotels, plus many other important places. With the RoadMate easy to use operating system, just use the touch screen to enter a specific address or point of interest and the Magellan RoadMate 2000 will route you there with both visual and voice guidance. If you miss a turn or get off your route, Magellan’s auto-reroute feature will get you back on track. If you have multiple stops, the Magellan RoadMate 2000 can handle that as well allowing you to plan your route through those multiple stops.

Other features of the Magellan RoadMate 2000 include an address book to store 250 of your favorite locations, you can even save your current location even if you are off road. The package also includes the Magellan RoadMate 2000 tools CD-ROM that contains the POI, Music and Photo Manager software.
