Garmin GTM 10 FM Traffic Receiver
Model# 010-00396-10
For drivers in congested metropolitan areas, Garmin is offering the
Garmin GTM 10 FM TMC Traffic Receiver, an optional FM RDS-TMC traffic receiver that receives digital information (where available) on traffic, road construction, and weather-related tie-ups. The
GTM 10 receives data from selected FM broadcast stations in select cities throughout the United States and Europe. This optional feature lets drivers see congested areas via a color-coded map. When connected to the
GTM 10, the
Street Pilot 2720 uses this data to automatically calculate and suggest alternative routes based on the traffic information.
Using a G
armin FM TMC Traffic Receiver, the
Street Pilot 2720 can receive and use traffic information boradcast over the FM Radio Data System (RDS). When a traffic message is received, your unit displays the event on the map and can change your route to avoid the traffic incident; no more changing the radio stations to hear the latest traffic report! For more information about the
GTM 10 FM TMC Traffic Receiver, visit the Garmin website at http://www.garmin.com.
The
GTM 10 may have a trial subscription or may be in an area of free service. Subscriptions can be added to expand the service area. The FM traffic receiver's unit ID is required to purchase a traffic subscription and obtain a 25-character traffic subscription code. For participating subscription providers, refer to the Garmin website at http://www.garmin.com/fmtraffic.
The
Garmin GTM 10 FM TMC Traffic Receiver also works with the
StreetPilot c340, StreetPilot 2730, Nuvi 350, and the StreetPilot 7200.
