Garmin has teamed up with XM WX Satellite Weather to bring real time graphical weather their 3000 series chartplotters. The GDL 30/30A will easily connect to the Marine Netwok Port on the back of the 3006/3010 to send real time weather information that will overlay on your chart display. The GDL 30/30A will relay a continuous transmission of 20 different types of graphical weather information that can be overlaid on the chartplotter, including:

City forecasts

NEXRAD Radar with precipitation type (animated, high resolution)

Surface air pressure

Surface analysis (Highs, Lows and fronts)

Lightning

Storm cell size, speed and direction

Hurricane track

Visibility forecast
